About Gerardo

Gerardo Ruiz etching work

Born in Puebla, Mexico (1948), Gerardo Ruiz Maldonado is a multifacético artist trained at the Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City. His work spans sculpture, painting, etching, and multimedia techniques, exhibited in over 175 shows internationally and held in permanent museum collections across Europe and Latin America.

Since 1993, he has worked and taught from his studio in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
